Donation for acid survivors The Project Bangladesh Foundation donated several items worth Tk one lakh to the Acid Survivors Foundation (ASF) for its medical unit on Tuesday, says a press release.The items included a microwave oven for the operation ward, various types of surgical tools, a water fountain, bed sheets and towels for patients, surgical trolleys, medical textbooks for the doctors, Povisep ointment for the patients and furniture for the examination room. To raise awareness among the Bangladeshi expatriates about acid violence, flood devastation and orphans, the Project Bangladesh has launched 'Amra Bangladesh' wristbands and all the sale proceeds go to charity. The five founding members of the group are Nicole Mendes, Navine Mendes, Rafaan Seraj, Shayaan Seraj and Salman Khan. The members met the patients and staff of the Acid Survivors Foundation in the city on the occasion. Shayaan Seraj said, "We are encouraging everyone, especially the youth, to come forward to address issues such as acid violence, as many do not even know this crime exists."
