Tk 1.4 lakh donation to orphanages

The Project Bangladesh Foundation made a donation of over Tk 1.4 lakh to several orphanages in the city.

The donation included goods that were needed for the children like mattresses and bedding, warm clothes, toiletries, rice, dal, sugar, salt, diapers, and medicines.

They have also sponsored the operation and medication of a young girl who has been suffering from severe throat problems, said a press release.

The Project Bangladesh Foundation was founded by five students-Navine Mendes, Nicole Mendes, Salman Khan, Rafaan Seraj and Shayaan Seraj- in the summer of 2005.

The organisation is trying to raise funds and raise awareness for causes such as acid violence, orphans and flood victims.
